THE ARTICLES
The articles are small sets of words that accompany the nouns, the most important thing about these articles is that they must coincide with the GENDER and NUMBER of the nouns.

THEY ARE USED IN THE FOLLOWING CASES:
When a subject belongs to a general group.
Pedro es uno de mis tíos
Verb HABER (There are / is) in its impersonal form.
Hay un carro al frente de la casa
When we want to talk about an approximate amount, it is usually used in the plural.
¿Puede venderme unos 5 kilos de plátano?
Normally, it goes before adjectives or descriptive nouns, highlighting that quality.

THEY ARE USED IN THE FOLLOWING CASES:
They are used with some nouns and usually when referring to specific things or people.
La canción de Beyoncé fue la última que escuché.
To generalize nouns
El mango es el preferido de mi madre.
Using the days of the week.
Los lunes tenemos educación física.
Saying the time.
Son las 4:00 a.m.
Parts of the body.
Me duele la muela.
With surnames.
Los Gómez son muy conocidos aquí .
Names of seas, mountains, rivers and others.
El Chorro del Indio.
With percent.
Tengo que pagarle el 10% de mi sueldo.
PREPOSITION + ARTICLE
When we speak and use the prepositions A or DE and the masculine singular definite article, it contracts for phonetic reasons as follows:
These prepositions cannot be contracted with the indefinite articles.
